Mixed Drinks | #WWYS130

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week the set we are showcasing the Mixed Drinks stamp set.

Being Australian, and having worked for one of Australia's brewing companies some years ago, it would be remiss of me if I didn't create a card showcasing "Beer"

One of the things that my hubby liked when I worked for the brewer was that I would say can you get some stuff out the back of the car please..... and he would see an ice cold carton that I had collected for him!

Masculine cards are not something that comes naturally for me, but this set is perfect and my card came together quickly.  Repeat stamping a sentiment is a fantastic way to create a background, combining the speech bubble and cheers worked a treat.  The frames are made using the Stitched Shapes & Layering Squares Framelits - they coordinate perfectly.

Can you see to the top of the glass.... I used embossing paste to create the "head" on the beer! This stuff is so versatile, I just love it. I added a hint of glitter to give the glistening cold beer feel to my feature.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Martha Inchely

Welcome to another Crazy Crafters Special Guest Blog Hop. Today we have Martha Inchley from Ontario Canada joining us, she is  a 2017 Artisan Team member - pinch myself that I am on a blog hop with her! We've all selected a project to CASE (Copy & Selectively Edit) and are excited to share our projects with you. You can see all Martha's wonderful creations on her blog Inch of Creativity. I drew inspiration from this card Martha made way back in 2014!

What I liked about this card was the feature element of the cake, the "scripty" words (as described by Martha on her blog) and of course the touch of bling - I do love my bling!  Here is what I've created:

I love the quirkiness of the Happiest of Days stamp set, the font, the images, everything about it! It's a great set for making quick and easy cards.

To carry my design from corner to corner I mask of all but one corner of the largesy stamp and inked up the rose and foliage with Stampin' Write markers. I lightly applied Melon Mambo to the stripes on the cake with an Aqua painter and a touch of smokey Slate to the stand, lastly smudged the stamping on the roses ever so slightly so they have a touch of colour -  Metallic sequins were the perfect finishing touch of bling.

Be sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! You are currently on my blog, Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot , check who is below me and that is where to head to next! Thanks for hopping with us.

Carols of Christmas meets the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch

I love making the most of a promotion or sale don't you!  The early release of the Carols of Christmas stamp set and Card Front Builder framelits has kick started my preparations for Christmas, here is another project I have created:

I dressed up the side of the card by using the Decorative Ribbon Border punch, and popped a strip of gold ribbon along the edge of the Be Merry DSP, such a lovely effect with the gold embossed sentiment. Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive with a touch of gold, I love this colour combination for Christmas

Embossing Paste Trees for Carols of Christmas

It's official... I am in love with the new Embossing Paste! I love the idea of a white Christmas, so you can image my excitement now I can create snow covered trees!

I'm entering my project into this weeks Challenge at The Paper Players - after all you don't get snow covered trees inside do you!

I'm really enjoying the Carols of Christmas bundle, I just can't get enough of making Christmas Cards - at this rate I am going to be so organised for Christmas this year.  I applied the Embossing paste randomly to the die cut trees, then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds so that snow touched shine

Here's a side view so you can see the different heights and shapes of the "snow"
