Eclipse Watercolour with Rose Wonder

Hello everybody, I hope you are having an amazing day! I'm here today with the monthly Enjoy the Little Things in Life Video hop! Our theme this month is all about "retiring colours and stamp sets" and I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has to share with us today. My project today features the Rose Wonder Stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden thinlets, retiring May 31st, but you could use this technique with many, many other stamp sets. I think the hardest thing for me with watercolouring is that it's not precise and you need to "let the water do the work".  No two projects would ever be the same, but that is just part of the charm of beautiful watercolours.  This can be soooooo hard for me, I am into detail and balance and precision, but I love the gentle blending effect of watercolours - so don't be afraid give it a try, and remember that saying "practice makes perfect" or at least "practice

Memory Keeping with Sweet Soiree

I did it, and I couldn't be happier! Way back when I was preparing for OnStage in November I wanted to make a scrapbook page, well, time got the better of me and it didn't happen, but last night I came across the photos I had chosen, so today I've finally made the Scrapbook page, YAY ME! I've used half a sheet of the gorgeous  Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper and pre cut elements from the  Sweet Soirée Embellishment Kit - both of these items are retiring on May 31st so be quick before they are gone, and as an added bonus the DSP is also discounted, woot happy days! I used sentiments from Eastern Beauty , and a May Flower Framelit Die to add to the floral arrangement - I just love how easy it is to mix and match Stampin' Up! items. The  Decorative Ribbon Border Punch was also a perfect accompaniment, and lastly a strip of Velvet Ribbon (available June 1st). Here's hoping to this being the first of many more 12 x 1

Statement of the Heart with Watercolor Wings

Hello again, today I have something special for you. Special because my project features a limited edition stamp. The Statement of the Heart stamp is only available as part of the early release Share What You Love Suite "Gotta Have it All Bundle" , and you only have til May 31st to be able to order, it won't be available after this date. I find butterflies to be beautiful and uplifting, so I thought they were the perfect accompaniment for the Statement of the Heart.  These butterflies are all from the Watercolor Wings stamp set , and use a 3-step process to layer the images - I used retiring colours Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango and Chocolate Chip. Being photoploymer it is quite simple to line up the images, even more so if you use the Stamparatus (available 1st June) If you simply must have either of these stamp sets, don't delay, act now, as come they are only available til May 31st. Watercolor Wings - below are some other project

Pretty in Pink with Birthday Delivery

I've been feeling a bit down, and mojo has been alluding me, but tonight I decided I WILL CRAFT, so I reached for some of my favourite retiring colours.... basically anything PINK! Now, with Pink Pirouette and Rose Red I had colours in my comfort zone, now for a stamp set.... I scanned my retiring stamp sets, and then it all came together when I saw the poodle in the Birthday Delivery set, I had my project!  Wow, after walking in my craft room for 4 days with no hint of creation I was super surprised at how quickly an idea struck! Maybe it was the power of Pink, hahaha, anyway I am so happy that I've been able to create! Once I coloured the poodle with Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends I embossed a layer of Pink Pirouette with Polka Dot Basics, and added Organza Ribbon - did you know you can colour this ribbon by pressing into your ink pad (be sure to wear gloves) or popping a few drops of re-inker into a press seal bag with the ribbon, how versatile is that!
